It's NOW 2012 and a new incarnation of "The Dream Vampires" has been given birth. Transference takes the best of the Vampires and mixes it with a Pink Floyd meets Velvet Underground approach to the song writing and production style and LIVE delivery. With a lot of the NEW material from "Orbital Dream" already licensed to the NEW Twilight TV Series, The Hobbit Extended DVD as well as a number of feature films and television series and pilots... the opportunity to bring the best of the band together in a pure LIVE experience seemed like the next logical step in it's evolution. So taking a more theatrical view, Transference will be presenting a NEW Rock Opera similar to that of The Who's "Tommy" called "Absinthe" as well as be performing on the mian stage at the inaugural "Worlds End Music" Festival on August 5rth in Austria as part of the"last hurrah for Mankind" end of days celebrations. The performance will be recorded live and well as video'd for a DVD Release and also simulcast live on an internationally syndicated streaming broadcast with ZDF Television in Germany. In addition the band will do a small intimate tour of Europe and Scandinavia in the latter half of the year
Transference, features a wide array of musical and vocal talent from the writing to the production to the arranging and finally the vocal recording and release of the material. It features the talents of, Alister Lorre (Producer), Dave Mustang (Producer), Jon Barley (Producer) Nyokee (Vocalist), Lisa Fury (Vocalist), Rosie Storer (Vocalist), Peter Hodges (Drums). Julian Reid (Bass / Vocals), Aj (Guitars), Clare Gorton (Violin), Mike Puskas (Lead Guitar) as well as other special guests like, Jerzee (Germany), Maura Murphy (USA), Nick Stecki (USA) .... and the list goes on. A little background on the premise of the "Dream Vampires" project below. The Dream Vampires is a collaborative project based on a long standing relationship between CEO and Label Owner/Producer Michael A Puskas and a talented bunch of musicians, vocalists and producers who all came together to realize a creative vision that a multitude of musical styles fused together with high energy modern production and strong identifiable lyrics could become the ultimate studio band with no intention to ever go out and take it live. From time to time new songs were written, produced and added to an assortment of online websites promoted by the label to spread the word about this highly fresh and unique musical outfit. The concept focuses on a vision that the “Dream Vampires” are those in the world that unwittingly suck our creativity dry. They feed off creative people as they have no drive of their own which makes them jealous…a very dangerous emotion indeed. A spineless collective that continue to threaten all that is new, original and unique by diluting its purpose to a simple emotional fodder that they feed to the masses and convince them of its viability and worth. This project is a labour of love and five years in the making and is dedicated to anyone who has felt the sting of creative jealousy.
